however, Stencyl 4.0 and later versions have issues running Pencyl. but you can still use it as editor without using Stencyl. Alternatively, Pencyl can be downloaded and installed for Stencyl 3.4.0 or earlier versions.
The other issue with Pencyl is when switching between the eraser and the brush otherwise a decent editor for shading and complex background that Microsoft Paint cannot do. When switching these 2 tools, the opacity and radius tends to be bugged.
You need to export as Native (.ie format) to save the project so that it can be continued later on. Using Save As will result the image or project in one layer.
